02: Things organized neatly

The fragile collection has required innovative packing methods.

It was important from the start that the packing of the museum objects was done in a proper way. Many objects lacked adequate storage, and by mapping the needs thoroughly, the relocation team has arrived at solutions that are suitable both during transport and well onto the shelves in the new museum magazine. This applies, for example, to the heavy litho stones, for which the moving team created a completely self-composed package solution. For paintings, separate travel frames and boxes have been developed. "The Great Apparatus" is a kind of stand, invented and carpented by the moving team, which holds and stabilizes these travel frames while the artworks are mounted in them.
