Electronic music and DJ André Bratten is one of the leading exponents of Norway’s ‘cosmic disco’ genre. His deep and endearing music has been lighting up dance floors since 2013. His fifth album, Picture Music, is a slice of pure musical escapism. Sparse strings, meditative synths, lingering piano chords and field recordings are melted together in a collection of sonic vignettes.
In this concert, Bratten will play music from Picture Music plus new material. The public will experience the music with a backdrop of stunning visuals by video / laser artist Birk Nygaard. Nygaard uses AI-generated images to construct a fabulous trip through constantly morphing landscapes and images. These are infinite journeys through a colourful environment of organic shapes, skies, fantasy buildings and mountains. A trip that perfectly matches the rich, bright textures of André Bratten’s electronica.
