Have you ever wondered how a work is created? And what did Munch create just a stone's throw away from the center of Oslo at Ekely? This evening you will get an introduction to Ekely, and meet this year's SOLO OSLO artist at MUNCH, Constance Tenvik. The studio is still a creative place for artists and audiences, and now you can join us behind the scenes!
After an introduction to Ekely with art mediator Tonje Lieberg, Constance Tenvik will receive members in the studio. You get an exclusive peek in the studio to see her work in progress and learn more about her process and reflections. She enjoys tackling vast themes, often based on existing narratives. Her ongoing work is based on the ancient comedy The Birds by Aristophanes from 414 f.kr.
Constance Tenvik (b. London, 1990) is an artist with an interdisciplinary approach, who creates immersive installations with sculpture, performance, textile, costume, painting, drawing and video. Tenvik's expression is characterised by a vivid line, use of humour, a fearless approach to colour and theatrical gestures.
