Rolf Stenersen (1899–1978) was Norway’s most prominent collector of 20th-century modern art. MUNCH’s exhibition It Might Be Beautiful explores Stenersen’s ideals, interests and ambitions, with a selection of his works from the collections he donated to Oslo and Bergen.

Stenersen was many-sided: an accomplished share-dealer, sprinter and author. He was drawn to challenging, innovative art which gave him insight into humanity’s hidden sides. He developed his interest in the unconscious with psychotherapy and his own surrealistic writings.

The ticket to this event also gives you admission to all exhibitions at MUNCH.
