His commission for MUNCH is a celebration of queer identity, community, and solidarity. The performance is created for the Amphitheatre, the circular room in the museum’s lobby, which will be activated by dancers, costumes, lighting, and newly composed music. The Amphitheatre’s glass walls enable an exploration of in/visibility as a common experience of marginalised groups.  

Brendan Fernandes (b. 1979, Nairobi, Kenya) is a Canadian artist based in Chicago.
