Bella Rune

This commission uses a selection of works from MUNCH’s own collection as its starting point. With the aid of virtual reality, you’ll be able to see and experience a range of Munch masterpieces in a whole new way. Bella Rune is making unusual, expanded and experimental frames around the paintings which you can get access to via an app. It’s Edvard Munch as you’ve never seen him before.

Bella Rune (b. 1971 Sweden, based in Stockholm, Sweden) is interested in crafts, history, contemporary culture and site specific work. She makes sculptures and installations and experiments with a variety of other media and technologies. Her work explores how digital media such as AR can be used to open up new platforms for viewing particular places and objects, playing on the tension between reality and virtuality.
