Senior Curator (art historian) for the Department of Exhibitions and Collections

MUNCH is poised on the cusp of a thrilling new era with a host of possibilities and ambitions. The museum is nationally and internationally renowned and leading with regard to Edvard Munch’s art and will also be a high profile institution for other modern and contemporary art.

The Department of Exhibitions and Collections is responsible for the art historical management of the museum’s unique collections that include more than 26,000 works by Munch. Responsibilities include research on Edvard Munch’s art and ongoing efforts in quality control and development of information in the collection database. The department also works intensively with the museum’s art programme and with curating exhibitions. The new museum building in Oslo’s harbour area Bjørvika will have greater capacity for displaying our own collections as well as temporary exhibitions ranging from Munch’s time up until the present day.
